Arundhati Gold Scheme:
Child marriage, female, foeticide dowry practices, and other such bad rituals or superstitions still exist in various sections of our country, particularly among girls. Assamese society has always been an outlier in this sense, while the state has been free of such heinous acts. Despite the fact that dowry is not practiced in Assam, parents are prepared to provide their daughters with beneficial gifts during the delivery process. In addition to love, love, and blessings, parents want to offer their children gifts regardless of their social and economic level, even if they are small. But no parent, even if they desire financial ruin, can realize their dreams.
The parent provides the ornament of the symmetric instrument to enhance their daughter’s social and financial status because the syllable or syllable is considered a mangalic or precious metal.
The scheme’s goals are as follows: The Government of Assam has decided to introduce a new scheme called “Arundhati Gold Scheme” in the financial year 2019-20 in order to make the above-mentioned issues a success.
The Finance Minister mentioned this in paragraph 40 of the previous fiscal year’s budget session, i.e. 2019-20. The scheme’s main goal is to provide some relief to parents who are finding it difficult to give their daughters expensive jewellery as a gift due to financial constraints. With this goal in mind, the state government has granted Rs 80,000 as a gift to financially disadvantaged parents who wish to marry their
daughters in order to purchase gold. The Department of Revenue and Disaster Management (Registration) will be in charge of putting the Arundhati Gold Scheme into action.
