The selection process for the APSC CCE 2023 (Main) consists of three stages: Main Examination, Interview, and Document Verification. Candidates who qualify in the main examination will be called for the interview, and those who clear the interview will be selected for document verification.
Main Examination: The main examination consists of six papers, each paper carrying 250 marks. The papers are as follows:
Paper 1: General English
Paper 2: General Studies 1
Paper 3: General Studies 2
Paper 4: Optional Subject 1
Paper 5: Optional Subject 2
Paper 6: Essay
Candidates who qualify in the main examination will be called for the interview.
Interview: The interview carries 275 marks, and candidates will be assessed on their personality, communication skills, and general knowledge.
Document Verification: Candidates who clear the interview will be called for document verification, where their educational and other relevant documents will be verified.
Syllabus:
The syllabus for the APSC CCE 2023 (Main) examination is as follows:
General English: Essay writing, précis writing, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and usage.
General Studies 1: Indian history, geography, economy, polity, and current affairs.
General Studies 2: International relations, social issues, environmental issues, science and technology, and ethics.
Optional Subject 1 and 2: Candidates can choose any two subjects from the list of optional subjects provided by the commission. The optional subjects include anthropology, geography, history, mathematics, physics, political science, and sociology.
Essay: Candidates will be required to write an essay on a given topic.
