The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has recently announced two employment notifications for the recruitment of Senior Information & Public Relations Officer and Junior Information & Public Relations Officer vacancies. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 10 vacancies under the Information, Public Relations, Printing & Stationery Department in Assam. Senior Information & Public Relations Officer

The Senior Information & Public Relations Officer position offers 4 vacancies. The category-wise distribution of these vacancies is as follows:

UR: 3

OBC/ MOBC: 1

Scale of Pay:

The selected candidates for the Senior Information & Public Relations Officer role will receive a scale of pay ranging from Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- with a Grade Pay (GP) of Rs. 13,900/-.

Educational Qualification:

To be eligible for the Senior Information & Public Relations Officer position, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

  1. A graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university. Professional/Technical Degrees are also allowed.
  2. Possession of a degree/diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication from an institute recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Alternatively, candidates with at least five years of experience in Journalism in a responsible capacity in a Newspaper/News/Public Relations Organization/Government Public Relations Department will be considered.
  3. Proficiency in the English language.
  4. Knowledge of Assamese or any other regional language or local language of the state.
  5. Proficiency in Computer Application.
  6. The candidates must possess a minimum of 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in computer proficiency from a Government-recognized institute.

Junior Information & Public Relations Officer

The Junior Information & Public Relations Officer position has 6 vacancies. The category-wise distribution of these vacancies is as follows:

The selected candidates for the Junior Information & Public Relations Officer role will receive a scale of pay ranging from Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- with a Grade Pay (GP) of Rs. 12,700/-.

Educational Qualification:

To be eligible for the Junior Information & Public Relations Officer position, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
