The government and SBI have made all of the necessary arrangements to ensure that employees can obtain loans without difficulty.
Employees will not be required to submit heaps of documentation in order to receive advantages from house loans and education loans, as is the case with most bank loan applications.
Employees will just have to submit applications to their individual Drawing and Disbursement Officers in order to be considered (DDOs). Furthermore,
the DDOs will send the loan applications to the SBI for processing and disbursement of the funds. The applicant will not be charged a processing fee for the loan application.
The loan under the Apun Ghar scheme will be issued in the name of the government employee or his or her spouse. For house loans up to Rs. 10 lakh, there is no need to mortgage property. Under the scheme, state government employees would not be charged a processing fee for home loans.
