Requirements for Eligibility in IBPS RRB Recruitment

Nationality or Citizenship
– A Citizen of India, or
– A subject of Nepal, or
– A subject of Bhutan, or
– A Tibetan Refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement, or
– A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement in India, provided that such candidates (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) above hold a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Language-Proficiency

Candidates applying for the Office Assistant positions in any specific RRB must demonstrate proficiency in the local language of the State/UT where the RRB is located to qualify for the interview.

Age Criteria (As on 01.06.2024)

1. Office Assistant (Multipurpose):
– Age Range: 18 to 28 years
– Date Range: Candidates must have been born between 02.06.1996 and 01.06.2006 (both dates inclusive).

2. Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager):
– Age Range: Above 18 years and below 30 years
– Date Range: Candidates must have been born between 03.06.1994 and 30.06.2006 (both dates inclusive).

3. Officer Scale-II (Manager):
– Age Range: Above 21 years and below 32 years
– Date Range: Candidates must have been born between 03.06.1992 and 31.05.2003 (both dates inclusive).

4. Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager):
– Age Range: Above 21 years and below 40 years
– Date Range: Candidates must have been born between 03.06.1984 and 31.05.2003 (both dates inclusive).

Educational-Qualification

# Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.
(a) Proficiency in the local language as specified by the participating RRB/s.
(b) Desirable: Working knowledge of computers.

Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree: Must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent. Candidates with degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy will be given preference.

Language Proficiency: Must demonstrate proficiency in the local language as specified by the participating RRB/s.

Desirable Skills: Working knowledge of computers is desirable.

Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer - Manager) Qualifications:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
Candidates with degrees in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy will be given preference.
Two years of experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution is required.

Officer Scale-II (Information Technology) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Electronics, Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.
Desirable Certification: Possession of certifications in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, or similar technologies is advantageous.
Experience: Preferably one year of relevant experience in the field.

Officer Scale-II (Chartered Accountant):

  • Certification: Must be a Certified Associate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
  • Experience: One year of experience as a Chartered Accountant is required.

Officer Scale-II (Law):

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Must hold a degree from a recognized University in Law or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Experience: Requires a minimum of two years of experience as an advocate, or should have served as a Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period of no less than two years.

Officer Scale-II (Marketing):

  • MBA in Marketing: Must have completed an MBA in Marketing from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Requires one year of relevant experience in the field.

Officer Scale-II (Treasury):

  • Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance: Must be a Chartered Accountant or hold an MBA in Finance from a recognized university/institution.
  • Experience: Requires one year of relevant experience in the field.

Officer Scale-II (Agriculture):

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
  • Experience: Requires two years of relevant experience in the field.

Officer Scale-III:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Preference: Candidates with a Degree or Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy will be preferred.
  • Experience: Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.
